The girls spent the morning looking incredibly sweet and innocent only for me to discover the vaping on the balcony and the increasingly aggressive gangster rap requests later.
Dark horses the lot of them.
Some weddings I come home from feeling particularly fond of everyone and this was definitely one of them.
Getting ready at 1 Hotel Mayfair
I was very thoroughly looked after from the beginning.
The girls discovered I’m lactose intolerant so an M&S run resulted in a duck wrap specifically for me 🥹
Only little sister Chloe accidentally stole it.
She realised after leaving, went back to pay and then retold the entire saga in the poshest accent imaginable with a surprising amount of swearing.
One of my favourite moments of the morning.

A full choir at St. George’s
Myelie and Alex had their ceremony at St. George’s and they had a full choir.
I cannot overstate how beautiful it sounded in there.
There are certain parts of a wedding that completely change the feeling in a room and this was one of them.
Champagne and oysters at Langan’s
Afterwards it was champagne and oysters at Langan’s.
Beautiful flowers.
A literal tower of cheese.
And one of those rooms that just got louder and better as the evening went on.
P.S. That is quite literally a cheesecake.
Banking jargon somehow became romantic
The speeches were bloody brilliant too.
Myelie and Alex are both bankers so Alex turned their enemies to lovers story into a financial deal.
Parents as stakeholders. Banking jargon. The lot.
Genuinely one of the funniest groom speeches I’ve heard.
Dad had everyone laughing too and Grandad was celebrating his birthday.

The room got louder and the music got better
he room got louder and the music got betterThe pianist from All The Feels Live gave us Bublé and eventually had the whole room on their feet singing Angels.
Then the DJ moved things along with Many Men and Fetty Wap.
Excellent work all round.
This was also the point where the seemingly innocent bridesmaids fully revealed their unwavering commitment to gangster rap.

But mostly Myelie, the bridesmaids, the mums and the whole family.
The mums looked after me all day.
The girls made me feel like one of them.
You were all so warm and so much fun to be around.
