Stacey & Chris’s Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding
Some weddings just want to be in black and white
Stacey & Chris in black and white 🖤
I don’t know why but this wedding just felt like it wanted to be monochrome.
Classic. Romantic. A little cinematic.
It just suited them.
Their London wedding started at The Landmark before we headed over to Old Marylebone Town Hall and there were a LOT of tears.
My fave kinda wedding obviously.
A lot of tears at Old Marylebone Town Hall
Stacey’s eldest cried when he saw her in her dress 🥹
Then during their Old Marylebone Town Hall ceremony he gave the most beautiful reading.
Chris cried too.
Love a man who isn’t afraid to show emotion.
There’s something really powerful about it.
And clearly their eldest takes after his mum because Stacey’s speech later was a genuine 10/10.
Completely from the heart.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Myself included.
And then there was the side eye
Meanwhile their youngest spent a considerable amount of the day giving me HUGE side eye.
Stacey informed me this was his Albanian side 😂
Honestly one of my favourite little things from the day.
Wedding portraits around Marylebone
Stacey’s sister came along for the portraits too and she was an absolute gem.
She was just one of those people who immediately feels steady.
So patient, kind and generous with her time.
The sort of person you’re very glad to have around on a wedding day.
We wandered around Marylebone for their wedding portraits before heading to Ognisko later that evening.
I always love photographing weddings around this part of London because you can move between beautiful architecture and quieter streets without making the portraits feel like a huge production.
Ending the night at Ognisko
Ognisko was such a lovely way to finish the day.
A gorgeous bar. A beautiful entrance. Everyone in very good spirits.
But I think what stayed with me most wasn’t really one specific place or one specific moment.
It was the way everyone loved very openly.
The tears.
The speeches.
The way their boys looked at them.
The people around them.
Maybe that’s why it had to be black and white
Maybe that’s why I wanted these photographs in black and white.
There’s something about black and white wedding photography that strips everything back to expression and connection.
And with this wedding there was plenty of both.
Strip everything else away and you’re left with the good stuff 🥹❤️
